Following a National Prisoners Week event held at the Brahma Kumaris (BK) Headquarters in London, a small number of prison staff approached BK to explore the possibility of creating a support group for staff. |

‘Integrating the Values Inside’, a two day residential seminar for all grades of prison staff and those working within prisons designed to enable prison staff to explore their core values and how to integrate them with their work. |
’94 Nov | One day seminar for prison governors. |
To highlight the work of the group, the two governors on the working group invited their peers to a seminar entitled, ‘Integrating the Values Inside,’ which was developed around the Prison Service’s ‘Statement of Purpose, Vision, Goals, Values.’ |
‘95 | First one day seminar for staff. |
In response to both the difficulties staff have finding time to attend residential seminars and the request for more frequent connection, one day training programmes were created. |

Recognising the value and uniqueness of these seminars, the Director of Prison Wardens from the Polish Prison Service attended. |
